It’s Time for Water Heater Maintenance!

That includes your AC unit, your dryer exhaust, and something many people don’t think about: your water heater!
Fall is the ideal time for water heater maintenance because it’s just a few months from winter, when you’ll need it to perform its best. While many people don’t think about their water heater, since it’s hidden away, it’s easy to notice as soon as there’s no hot water left. Thankfully, we’re here to help maintain, repair, or replace your water heater as needed.
Here’s what we recommend for your water heater maintenance:
- Get it checked at least once a year. Problems can creep up on you otherwise, which can turn into costly mistakes. By being proactive about water heater care, we can hopefully help you avoid major issues.
- Maintenance will include flushing the tank, which can remove built-up sediment. A technician will also check the anode rod, which manages rust and minerals in the water, as well as test the pressure relief valve, which can prevent a dangerous tank explosion.
- We’d also be happy to talk to you about any problems you’ve been seeing or experiencing! This can include things like leaks or an overall lack of hot water. Depending on the issue, we’ll either recommend repairs or a water heater replacement, depending on your problem and what the most efficient solution would be.
